Shamari Nevels

Shamari Nevels is a founding member of the Alumni Theater Company. He has been performing on stage since the 4th grade. His most exciting roles have been playing the lead in the Alumni Theater’s Company 2012 summer production of Rent, and the lead role in Alumni Theater Company’s 2016 production of American Idiot. In 2013 Shamari placed third in the regional August Wilson Monologue Contest and performed in NYC on Broadway as a National August Wilson Monologue Contest semi finalist. In 2014, Shamari graduated from Pittsburgh CAPA.  He attended the Performing Arts and Theater Program at The American College of Dublin, in Dublin, Ireland. Shamari is working as a server a Primanti Bro’s, while searching for a career in public service. Shamari does plan to continue to explore his acting, singing and performing potential. Shamari’s dream is to one day be on a television show. Growing up watching his mother’s favorite show General Hospital he has always liked the idea of being on a TV series for many years.
